Worked example
What it makes
Three questions from a medium quiz on adding and subtracting fractions and decimals and percentages and ratios and linear equations, with the answers and worked solutions the quiz shows after checking.
1. What is 6/8 − 7/16? Give the answer in simplest form.
Options: 19/16 · 7/16 · 5/16 · 3/8
Answer: 5/16
Common denominator 16: 6/8 = 12/16 and 7/16 = 7/16. 12 − 7 = 5, so 5/16.
2. What is 0.25 + 0.75?
Options: 1 · -0.5 · 1.01 · 1.02
Answer: 1
Line up the decimal points: 0.25 + 0.75 = 1.
3. What is 30% of 240?
Options: 72 · 720 · 168 · 270
Answer: 72
30% means 30/100: 240 × 30 ÷ 100 = 72.

Questions
About the Math Test Generator
Is there a marking key?
Every question is marked automatically and shows its worked solution after checking, so the Room is the marking key.
How do I know the answers are right?
The questions are computed, not written by AI: each answer is worked out with exact arithmetic and checked again by a separate solver in our tests. Every question shows its worked solution after the learner checks their answers.
Can my students use it without an account?
Yes. Publish the Room and share the link: anyone with it can take the quiz, check their answers and read the worked solutions. You need a free account to keep and publish the Room.
