How it's calculated
- CSAT = satisfied responses ÷ all responses × 100.
- Response rate = responses ÷ surveys sent × 100.
- To reach the target: (target × responses − satisfied) ÷ (1 − target), rounded up, with the target as a fraction.
- Assumes: Satisfied means the top two scores on a 1 to 5 scale; use your own cut-off if it differs.
- Assumes: The target figure assumes every new response is satisfied, so it is the fewest you would need.

- Satisfied usually means 4 or 5 out of 5; use your own cut-off if it differs.
Questions
About the CSAT Calculator
What's the difference between CSAT and NPS?
CSAT asks how satisfied someone was with a specific interaction or product, usually on a 1 to 5 scale. NPS asks how likely they are to recommend you overall. CSAT reacts faster; NPS tracks loyalty.
