- Each signal is put on a 0 to 100 scale: usage % and adoption % as they are, survey score × 10, and support as 100 − 20 per open ticket (never below 0).
- Health score = the weighted average of the four, using your weights.
- Weakest signal = the lowest of the four, to show where to look first.

How it's calculated
- Each signal is put on a 0 to 100 scale: usage % and adoption % as they are, survey score × 10, and support as 100 − 20 per open ticket (never below 0).
- Health score = the weighted average of the four, using your weights.
- Weakest signal = the lowest of the four, to show where to look first.
- Assumes: The support scale (20 points off per open ticket) is a simple starting rule: adjust weights to fit your product.
- Assumes: Weights are relative: 35/25/20/20 and 7/5/4/4 give the same score.
- Assumes: Set your own bands for healthy, watch and at risk, and check them against customers who actually churned.

CS leaders
Agree one health model the team can test and adjust.
Account managers
Find the weakest signal to work on first.
Good to know
What to consider
- The weights and the support scale are a starting point: check them against accounts that actually churned.
- A single score can hide one very weak signal, which is why the weakest one is shown too.
Questions
About the Customer Health Score Calculator
What weights should I use?
Start with usage highest, since it tends to move first, then adjust. Look back at accounts that churned or renewed and change the weights until the score would have told them apart.
Can I share the calculator with my team or a client?
