Worked example
What it makes
Three questions from a easier quiz on ordering and comparing integers, with the answers and worked solutions the quiz shows after checking.
1. Which number is the smallest?
Options: −4 · −10 · 3 · 7
Answer: −10
On a number line, numbers further left are smaller. In order: −10, −4, 3, 7. The smallest is −10.
2. Which number is the smallest?
Options: −7 · −9 · 2 · −6
Answer: −9
On a number line, numbers further left are smaller. In order: −9, −7, −6, 2. The smallest is −9.
3. Which number is the largest?
Options: −5 · −2 · −7 · 9
Answer: 9
On a number line, numbers further left are smaller. In order: −7, −5, −2, 9. The largest is 9.

What to consider
- Ordering and comparing is on by default; switch on 'Negative numbers' to add adding, subtracting and multiplying.
- Levels are difficulty bands, not school grades or a curriculum.
Questions
About the Integers Quiz Generator
How is this different from negative numbers practice?
These questions are about order and size: which number is smallest, which list is in order, how far apart two temperatures are. Arithmetic with negatives is a separate topic you can add.
How do I know the answers are right?
The questions are computed, not written by AI: each answer is worked out with exact arithmetic and checked again by a separate solver in our tests. Every question shows its worked solution after the learner checks their answers.
Can my students use it without an account?
Yes. Publish the Room and share the link: anyone with it can take the quiz, check their answers and read the worked solutions. You need a free account to keep and publish the Room.
